Youtube is full of Earn XXXX Dollars Per month as a side Kick Videos. Many videos has Millions of Views and thousands of likes. I am not sure if those videos are genuine or just click baits for views. Is there really a way to earn 6 figures doing part time side gigs. Can someone who is doing this kind of shit can explain what he or she is doing ? And is it really an opportunity here. I really feel I have no talent just a basic Product Management skills. However, I have a lot of time outside of work. WLB project. Quite interested to know is it something, I can do to earn. Please refrain from suggesting fiverr and similar Apps as an answer. They are full of shit and only works on handful of skills. Also refrain for suggesting change jobs and increase TC , as I am not willing to change jobs at this point in time ( I like my company and work, have good repo at work, have shares, and good wlb). Practically looking for something where I can genuinely put free time and can reap $$. TC 130K
Please refrain from so many refrains.
If there was a way to do this, why would people be publicizing it on YouTube? Anyone who is claiming to teach you how to do X to get rich has exhausted that approach and has shifted to getting people to pay them for outdated knowledge that is no longer profitable. They'll use their own success at X as proof it's profitable. However if it were still profitable they'd still be doing it and keeping their mouths shut.
People posting videos are making their money from posting the videos. Not from doing whatever side hustles they suggest in said videos. It’s like being a life coach. You had no concrete pursuits and now you want to help other people in your same position by telling them to do things you couldn’t? While you profit from it. Anddd suggesting that you’re a picture of success. Just for preaching.
Majority of youtube audience is kids. You can start with top earners and get ideas on content. If you are a good gamer you can explore that too.
None of them are genuine
1. Write an ebook 2. shoot a few videos to promote ebook 3. Profit
Yes, much of this entire industry looks like a bubble. They earn by encouraging you to lend your eye balls and time, and most of the time donot provide value proportional to time spent. Are there any more grounded and fulfilling side gigs that generate real value?
I make video games, it gives a nice income and keep on giving as people keep buying them. Also made a Pinterest page and have consistent ad revenue from there even when I'm not working.
I’ve got a side gig but the last thing I would do it post it on YouTube. More supply = lower profit. So these videos are a scam. Really most side gigs are startups. My side gig is a startup that just happens to be very profitable (100k a year) and requires little time (6 hours a month). I’m just waiting around for a few more months for capital to build up so I can expand it. The business is construction and then I have a manager manage the employees. It has a tech side piece to it which makes it extra profitable.
