HPE aruba networks vs Startup
Got offers from HPE Aruba and a startup in the Bay area with Series B funding of 103 million funded couple of months ago, the company grew from just 35 to 85 in just 5 months. Any thoughts ? 1) HPE company stock is dropping , what about stability ? 2) Lay-off cycle in Aruba? Is it frequent ? Dunno about Aruba, but to answer your 1st question on stability.. There is none. Constant reorgs and priorities change every few months.

I’ve heard from multiple folks that Aruba recruiters do some foul play and mislead when calculating TC. They consider 20% bonus where as people there haven’t got any bonus at all last year. Can anyone from Aruba confirm?
How about the difference between startup culture and that of Aruba? If somebody joins a startup from a big established company like fb, google or tesla etc, can this a bad move on a long run?

HR didn’t mention anything nor it is written in the offer letter. Is this something they will inform u later ? Also any recent layoffs in HPE Aruba ? How does the culture looks like ? Location: Santa Clara, CA
You might have to ask about paycut. Its till nov end and % cut depends on level. Yes Aruba had layoffs in jan and june of about 2 to 3% but it was also hpe wide. DM me for culture and more info.
