What’s your pay? How do I get this job.
About 30% less than Facebook yearly but more per hour of work.
WLB WLB WLB
Generally companies with lots of WLB tend to pay less. I have heard about WLB in Saleaforce. What I am unable to understand is how can they afford to pay so well with good WLB ?
We pay well?
3 months paid paternal leave, max 401k match (free 9k tax free money), espp, no health insurance premium with best insurance - premera, $2500 in HSA account, free soda and variety of drinks like milk and juice, prime discount card (eg you pay half for seattle childrens museum and pacific science center theater), shower room, on campus facilities like fedex, bank, verizon, att, discounted cafeteria like 20 dinning buildings, free shuttle between campuses (eg redmond to bellevue) till 8pm, connector commute buns with wifi, life insurance free x2 of base salary, disability insurance, fitness credit $800 per year, free msdn, discount at company store like $25 for microsoft office, 15 days vacation, 12 holidays, 10 sick days. Plus all of benefits OP listed at Amazon minus banana and dogs part (bring dog to a work place may or may not be a benefit). These are spectacular benefits compared to Amazon but it is nothing compared to Google.
Fitness credit $800 year? 😍😍
Yes, you can use it for whatever - sports club, soccer league membership, ski pass, equipment, tennis shoes etc.
It would be too long to enumerate

Not so fast!
nursing room is actually a legal requirement
Maybe in WA state... the company I worked prior didn’t have any.
In CA, too. And it can't be a bathroom. https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/Lactation_Accommodation.htm
In terms of perks msft actually is better than goog imo. Msft has espp goog doesnt Msft has better health dental and vision Msft contributes more to hsa than ghip Msft has 800 stayfit or gym membership; goog has gyms that are usually busy Msft has office or shared offices in many teams. Goog has open plan and very tight space too at that Msft has building to building shuttles; goog doesn’t. Just the bikes. Goog has free food that is uniform. Msft doesn’t. Goog as deferred comp; msft has thisnonly for l67/68 or higher All other perks are the same: life insurance, parental, etc etc Some reasons why goog is better that may not be perks: - slightly better work culture. More collaborative. Just as political now. Didn’t use to be. - more name brand and name recognition. Goog went through a phase where they paid a ton for well known people to join. - gsu refresh is higher - avg eng tend to be more capable - uniform codebase etc. (this is also a con; not everything needs rigor; there is such a thing as throw away code)
Does Google have deferred comp for any level? It's a great benefit if it's true.
Goog has deferred comp at any level. you missed some yMcg: Shuttles from building to building. Several 100s of gbuses that travel across the bay daily. Mine has ~7 people on a 60 seater coach bus. 10 amazing cafes within a 8 minute walk (I’m in SVL). Gride which is basically Uber pool for enterprise. Ability to switch teams and locations very often if that’s what you’re into. Yeah I’m not into tight spaces either, glad I’m on a new campus that is very empty lol. But you’re right, the perk difference isn’t that substantial tbh.
Heard Apple employees get 10% discount... but is it unlimited? 😅 If it is unlimited 10% discount, I need to make an Apple friend :))
Its 25% off one purchase, then 10% off a purchase in each category (phone, pad, laptop, desktop) per year. Accessory discounts are unlimited.
It's something like 25% off one product in each category per year ("personal discount") and then 10-15% off many other items, repeatedly (friends and family discount)
20%+ on hotels and travel packages? For someone like me who loves to travel - that sounds like a great perk!
How is $600 deductible a good thing? That’s pretty awful
