I need 50k USD to purchase a property in India. I don’t want to get loan in India and I wanted to get personal loan in US. I have good credit and I already plan to loan on my 401 k on top of this. Most credit union needs my application because I’m in H-1b visa. Any suggestions for personal loan in USA?
Personal loans in US are expensive. Not worth it.
ROI is way less compared to Indian Home/personal loans. Given you’ve excellent credit
I keep getting offers for 8-10% on personal loans. Personal loans in India will probably will 14-16% PA. Better to take it here while the Dollar is strong. But do your calculations and make sure you’re not overburdened here.
SoFi seems good. I recently got 35k personal loan for 6.5%. The max they give for h1b folks is 35k.
I’ll give you 50k if you give me collateral and 6% interest 😬
Got dcu loan 25k approved at 11%
If you can pay it off in a year then take it against your credit card for 0% APR but there would be a 3% fee. At the end of the year, if you cannot pay it off then do a balance transfer to another credit card but there would again be a 3% fee. Do the math and see if it works out for you. I paid off my loan in india by doing multiple balance transfers and utilizing credit card offers. But you need to be very careful with your monthly payments. Don’t ever miss those. Plus the credit card which you would use for this cannot be used to make any of your other purchases. Keep that in mind as well.
That’s my man
Did your score take a huge hit after this?
It's important that you pointed out about not using your credit card that you have used for your loan..I did that mistake and was surprised to see like $200 slapped in a month
