"The two-dose vaccine still works very well in preventing people from getting seriously sick, demonstrating 88% effectiveness against hospitalization and 91% effectiveness against severe illness, according to the Israeli data."
The most worrying part about this is waning immunity over time. The analysis of the 3 week period prior showed 64% effectiveness where AFAIK the dominant strain was delta. They also can see waning immunity based on when the vaccine was administered, but prone to bias in the types of people vaccinated first. Not good, but at least severe outcomes are reduced.
Looks like we will have to get boosters
Is there any study on J&J’s more traditional vaccine’s efficacy?
There is a study saying J&J is pretty bad. Worse than Pfizer for sure
Worse for original Covid but I’m wondering about variants.
