Can someone please help me solve this? My other habits are healthy and I am very productive at work. Able to overachieve in deliverables at work despite on phone so much, but on the flip side having phone addiction to check Slack/email at 6am and at 10pm. I have healthy sleep and exercise habits, but just annoying how much time I waste on my phone doing mindless reading. Most Used Apps: WhatsApp, Slack, Spotify, Instagram, Blind, Gmail/Mail, Reddit
Remove those apps.
But I chat with family and close friends in WhatsApp, Insta, etc
Find a different way. Or narrow it down to one and put constraints even on that one app. Communication is great with friends/family. But we tend to feel so obligated to be immediately available in these windows of communications (ig, whatsapp, etc) just because they’re there. You can leave someone on read on IG and it’ll be ok. Live your life.

On the same boat
Get busy with something else. You can’t multi-task when the apps are designed to grab your entire attention. Apps fail when you’re distracted so it will work. Go for a walk without your phone or read something. Figure out your “good” distraction.
If you have timeblindness, check ADHD symptoms. Due to dopamine deficiency, they are tended to spend too much time on phone.
Install Facebook to add it to the list of others 😂
Use ScreenZen and turn on GrayScale. It is as simple as telling Siri “Turn on GrayScale”. Phone isn’t as exciting when things are black and white and doesn’t excite your brain all over the place.
If you’re on iPhone, turn on Color Filters (greyscale selected) in Settings. This makes the phone a lot less appealing. Turn off all non critical notifications. Uninstall all social media apps. Use their web version on your computer. Keep phone away from bed at all times. You shouldn’t be able to reach it without walking to that place, so may be 10 feet away or more
Color filters tip is interesting. Little red notification symbols seem to have less gravity.
Give yourself a break. Its okay to chill at times. Remove the apps which don’t add any value to you.
Same thing.
