Pinterest New Levels?
I got a recruiting email for IC 17. Levels.fyi shows an L3 to L7 system. Is 17 equal to the “old” 7? #pinterest

It’s not a typo. They introduced a new leveling system and added 1 level and designates the levels as 13 - 19. It’s hard to say if ic17 maps perfectly to ic7 because of the additional 1 level that was added. In general, they reduced pay bands and almost everybody is very disappointed ij the way it played out.

It used to go to 8 but now goes to 9 (19). It’s not clear where the new level was inserted, but many people got a random promotion of 1 or even 2 levels based on what most believe is unfair politics. The whole thing is pretty shitty. They reduced compensation bands but then moved them back up, but not all the way. ML makes more than general swe.
