Curious to get everyone's thoughts on these two competing PM offers - I'm torn! Disclaimer: There is a sizeable gap between salaries but my main concerns are growth opportunities, brand recognition, and exit opportunities. Currently, I'm a PM with 2 years of experience in financial services with a passion for leading my own tech venture in the future. BCGDV - Boston Consulting Group, Digital Ventures Base: $115k Performance: 7.5% No equity (privately held) Pinterest Base: $140k Performance: 10% Equity: $50k (4-year vest) Main Questions 1. Which will have the highest learning opportunity for my skill set as a PM? 2. What type of ventures can I expect to work on at BCG DV? Is it really as innovative as described? How closely tied is it with BCG? 3. What type of exits can I expect from either or? Thank you!! #tech #productmanager #product #pinterest #bcg #bcgdigitalventures #offer #offers
What’s bcg dv?
Boston Consulting Group - Digital Ventures BCG has a corporate incubation subsidiary focused on launching digital ventures https://www.bcgdv.com/portfolio
Avoid them.
Pinterest. You’ll likely get recruited to google MSFT or fb after there. If not your BCG offer will still probably be good.
Follow the TC. No one can see the future
Do pinterest. Consulting is trash for tech. They quickly fall behind when RSUs start being handed out.
Bcg dv does not have the prestige of BCG
PINS hands down. BCGDV doesn’t hold a candle to big (or small) tech. Many, many more doors will open for you with PINS on your resume.
Bcgdv is lame and embarrassing
Hi I’m currently interviewing for a PM role with DV - would you be able elaborate? Thank you 🙏
It’s for PMs who were not good enough to get into regular top tech companies
OP may I message you for more insight about BCGDV PM interview? Thank you!
Mind if I DM you to learn more about the Pinterest PM interviews?
