If you had to choose which of these two companies to work for, what would you choose and why? (I'm making a decision between them now.) #meta #pinterest @meta @pinterest
Depends what you’re looking for. Pins will have better WLB and more options for where to live and where to work from.
Pls post tc for the offers. Congrats. It's about what you are looking for in the next job. Not what others are looking for. Most people choose high Tc but I doubt you have a problem wit that at meta.
I was able to get Pinterest to match TC from Meta. IC6, 4 Years at Meta Total comp for next 12 months: Meta (current): $410k - $455k depending on price volatility of my unvested shares ($223k base, 20% bonus, 962 unvestedsted shares) Pinterest: $435 ($235k base, $400k equity. Equity was 350k but I got them to increase it when I showed how much equity I have in Meta now). No standard bonus, but recruiter claims refresher is $200k and is doubled if you exceed expectations) WLB is my main reason to leave Meta, but I worry about Pinterest's long-term stability as a company (whereas I feel Meta is safe) and Meta has great internal tools.
Talking about long term stability, how many years do you plan to stay at your next job?
Congratulations on the offer. How long did it take for you get the result from Pins? I've been waiting from 4 weeks, I've been told they are still interviewing other candidates.
Same here. It's been a month since I did my onsite. Recruiter promised to share outcome this week and I didn't get any update. Very furious how they keep candidates waiting.
Is Pinterest on site?
Meta.
The offer seems so low.

What notice do you give when leaving job?
Meta. Their products are super relevant and there’s more cutting edge work being done there. Pinterest seems to be more of a waning single mobile platform that lacks innovation.
