Are they still around? I haven't heard about them recently. Easy to replicate product. No respect for user privacy. Big fiasco. Just feel bad for employees suffering because of the mistakes of C level.
If they are stealing data, they are doing the “right” thing. That’s the precedent all tech companies have set.
My credit union switched to Plaid for external transfers. It's an unsecure platform so I don't use it.
I know some of the product managers who joined there. Calling them morons would be understatement!
Can you DM me namesV
Dm me the names plz
How exactly is it easy to replicate lol? Convincing banks to use another API is extremely hard
It is hard but not impossible, just take time. Stripe launched financial connector back in April/May 2022, and this could crush plaid's core products.
We’re still kicking. It’s a great place to be all things considered. The main issue is that we have not updated our valuation since 2021. Oh and in terms of privacy and compliance, believe it or not, but we’re one of the best in our space. Since the lawsuit a lot has changed internally.
I don't agree with this guy. Unless op cannot find other jobs, then come to work for the base, until op finds another exit. What about rsu, yup they are toilet papers. Too many competitions,.and our previous clients launched competing products -- this is not a secret, check techcrunch etc.
Is that why ZP threw a fit on Twitter when stripe announced it ?
Imagine being this naive
Corporates are greedy. Oh my God, what a discovery!
Some teams/managers in Plaid are toxic too, unfortunately. I won't cover the bad side of my company just because I work in it. Blind is a platform that encourages us share our thoughts and experience. I don't want to see Folks join and get super disappointed(unfortunately many of my friends in the company are suffering this). Openess, transparency are part of the principles Plaid tried to claim 😅
All companies are bad, but why so indifferent to our privacy. Plaid shit api can easily be written by interns. Just login to chase Bank and retrieve information from there. It would take a few more interns to replicate for each bank but so be it if the alternative is losing the trust of users.
Why don’t you come work for us then? We need more coal miners like you
What fiasco?

Does this settlement fee matter to the company though?
