Comp for plaid is 30% higher than goog L7 after negotiation. Trying to figure out how long I’d have to wait for plaid IPO, risk of layoffs, and valuation stability. Offer TC is same as my current TC TC: 550k, 14 YOE
Op McKinsey pays 550 ? At what level ? Guess I should consider to move back to consulting :)
Am curious to see how people are thinking about Plaid, even if Blind is really hard to ascertain if people are worth listening to or full of it. I’ve been interested in Plaid but given recent market conditions and the fact any IPO is probably a good ways out plus Stripe coming after them curious what people tracking fintech more closely/deeply think of their prospects. What do the offers look like roughly and what is the basis of the valuation of the RSUs from Plaid? Is it the 13.4B number? Given recent events seem like that would overvalue them if so. Are you able to negotiate relatively more cash to RSU if you want to reduce risk? I always tend to treat RSUs at non public companies as 0 based on bad past experiences. What are the conditions around RSUs if you leave before a liquidity event?
Google. Stripe just made Plaid obsolete
Offer TCs or gtfo
Which non tech role Pays that much?
Sorry but plaid is not good now my friends. Stripe, valuation, and apparently spending every dollar earned on employees. Recipe for layoffs and fail
With McKinsey on your resume I would go with plaid
