For low-risk flights with alternatives, I've found myself playing a game. I try to push how late I can leave to still make it on time. Rules of the game 1. Have to Uber or Lyft to the airport (friends aren't allowed to drop you off) 2. No TSA PRE or faster security check 3. Clock the latest time you reached the airport if you make it to the plane. Obviously your best scores will change depending on the time of the day and your airport. I hit my best SJC score today. Reached the airport at 6.08 today for a 6.30 flight and made it. (I've missed 7 flights in the past year playing this game)
But why push it so close though. Like you said you've already missed 7 flights doing this. Unless you don't have to wait long for alternatives
For the thrill
What thrill? Go do crack if you want thrill
Sorry, unclear. Low risk in terms of covid spread?
Cheap and close distance flights
How are you at Meta and still poor? Get TSA Pre.
I spend all my money on fried chicken
Sir, this is a Wendy's
Why no TSA Pre or fast track security? I’ve arrived at SFO countless times within 20-30 minutes and made it with time to spare thanks to Clear
Are you 1 for 8 in this game?
No PRE- taking shoes off, no way
How many flights have you delayed ? How many people have you inconvenienced ? Seems like a pretty stupid game. Show up on time

So based on your experience/data how far in advance does one actually need to be at the airport to make 90% of flights?
