I don't know anyone in tech who views Deloitte as "prestigious". They're only known for their low pay, poor wlb and abuse of new grad hires. But if you talk to consultants, they'll always flex working at Deloitte like tech workers do with Google or Netflix...I remember in college, everyone wanted to work for deloitte. Even now I see these kids walking into bars after work with their deloitte badges still on lmao Edit: followup question...how are firms like Deloitte still hired for tech projects? They have notoriously poor talent since actual talented tech workers have so many better options. For example, why would a company pay 24 year old business grads from Deloitte to help them with AWS instead of just reaching out directly to AWS for consultants...? TC:140k
to tech workers, deloitte, mckinsey, pwc or whatever tf is no more prestigious than working as a SWE at Wendy's or Taco Bell
Don’t worry we feel the same about most tech companies Career suicide trash
This guy right here is going to make partner
Deloitte is one of the big 4 accounting/consulting firms. Why do you care if employees wear their badges into a bar?
lol Deloitte is prestigious for grinding their workers to dust for no pay. They’re pretty good at that but not much else.
Serious answer—for anyone in accounting it is the equivalent of FAANG. For consultants it’s not as good as MBB but still solid. And that’s enough to give it a good brand, and most people put a lot of weight on that. you’ll probably get more “prestige” from people in a bar as a back office SWE working on some internal HR system at Goldman than if you do cool work at a startup. Just how it be
Deloitte Consulting LLP is a member firm of Deloitte US and we have a staff of over 60,000 in the US. This does not count our staff in the United States tax, audit, or advisory firms.
There is no prestige in any of the Big 4. They are all lame AF
Welcome to tech industry kid ! There are so many profiles or jobs within a tech company like Google which SWEs think it’s too low of a standard if they do it and companies also know that they won’t be getting ROI if they force SWEs to take such roles. Somebody needs to do it right?? and guess what companies also want to do it with perfection with minimal handholding and that is where consulting firms come in to picture. Basically we take their burden off from work which nobody wants to do. I know it sucks but that’s how you make money
Saw already 2 or 3 "Ex-Deloitte" on LinkedIn profiles. Who the fuck knows
My company hires a lot of outside talent on a temporary basis, and they virtually always become permanent. From my perspective, the leadership hiring these outside consultants don't realize how the consultancies work. The SVP of marketing doesn't know Deloitte hires a bunch of new grads who just Google or pull up their homework to get their result the SVP is looking for. On one side, it is really disappointing my company uses so many consultants. On the other hand, you will never be as fresh and proficient in a subject matter as when you're just out of undergrad and still have those exam questions rattling around.

Israeli precision-guided munition likely killed group of children playing foosball in Gaza, weapons experts say
It’s prestigious to new grads, they’ll realize a couple months in they’re in the shittiest company to work at
