Feeling torn. These numbers don’t include year-end performance bonus / refresher / espp. Nvidia is Remote, with a startup-like team. Meta team is also distributed but more based in NYC. Tech stack wise it’s pretty similar. YOE 8 #meta #nvidiacareers #nvidiasalary #nvidia
Remote 👍
These are final offers? With competing offers were you able to negotiate?
Negotiated already. I think there is still some room to negotiate tho.
Nvidia

How did u prep my freind whats ur background
For those who picked Nvidia, any specific reasons you want to share :) ?
They have the highest upside in growth with AI.
Not sure why nvidia is being voted so highly. 1. This guy is frontend, not in an AI org, correct me if I'm wrong. Sure everyone at the company benefits from "stock growth due to AI" but its not like this person is in an AI org and working on that stuff, which I imagine also gets more visibility/promos. If you don't mind what work you do, this is less of a concern. 2. NVidia is paying 100k less first year, and only 5k more than your current tc. 3. NVidia stock, which is the main upside, is half of meta. So you are expecting ~1.5x growth to match. This doesn't even take into account the fact that meta can grow too, and meta has very aggressive refreshers and promos. I think the main differentiators are fully remote and better culture, though I heard WLB is team dependent. I think these two are the strongest arguments for NVidia, but from a money perspective not sure I'm fully convinced. Personally I got an nvidia offer and I was not convinced. People were nice and smart, and work on certain teams is cool, but the stock would have to 6x to match offers I had at other companies. I don't think Meta is strictly better, but I would take people's opinions here with some more nuance and price your own notion of upside/downside for either company.
Nvidia all the way
