I have received two offers. I have to pick one based on work culture and green card processing. Any advice will be really helpful. Software Engineer III, Walmart, Sunnyvale BC: 135K Equity: 25K Annual bonus: 16% Cloud software developer, Cisco, Remote BC: 135K No equity Annual bonus: 12% Current role: Consultant, Red Hat TC: 125K YOE: 2.5 #engineering #software #swe
from blind i understand that cisco indian managers are going to be asshole work you to death type. now imagine that when remote. walmart i find hard to imagine being high pressure. i don’t have first hand experience with either of them
Please improve your English. It’s horrible.
The op is perfectly understandable. Please improve your manners.
Is the equity 25k per year? Also how much is your yoe?
2.5 years. Updated it in the post as well.
What's your YOE? Cisco is a horrible brand to have in such early stages of your career. It's good to join in your mid 50s.
Got it! Thanks. My yoe is 2.5 years. Updated it in the post as well.
What YEO and what is the grade for Cisco?
2.5 years. Updated it in the post as well. I am not sure what grade my role in Cisco is.
Oh that’s weird it should tell you the grade in the offer letter.
Why not move to full time at red hat? I’m part of the openshift org and I like the culture. It’s very hands off management and life/work balance is enforced. Cisco is for sure a later career move. Walmart has always sounded boring to me and probably very legacy. If you want high moneys and something new, still remote. I’d recommend VMWare.
