Too lazy with money. Apart from my stock portfolio, some betterment fund and 401k investments, I have around $100k lying around in stupid first tech savings account with 0.05% interest rate. I am reluctant to put this into stock market, kind of an emergency liquid fund. I see NASB offering > 2.5%, citibank at 2.36%. Are there better options ? CDs seem to be pointless with only marginally better rates and lot of restriction on withdrawal. Or are there better rates available in CD that make them useful ? What do you guys do with your liquid emergency funds ?
Capitalone has savings accounts with 2% interest. I think it’s called Money markets
I use Marcus by Goldman Sachs as well.
Ally
Synchrony bank has 2.80%
Savings account ? Or CD ? Their website shows 2.25% on savings account.
I use capital one because I like the convenience of being able to same day transfer to a checking account with free international use. But I’m tempted to add Marcus because the interest rate is higher. Anyone know of like a bank money allocation site that would keep my accounts balanced? So for instance keep only 5k in my checking account but auto replenish ever week by issuing an ACH from Marcus
By international use , you mean debit card ?

What are your thoughts on this NASB bank. They have 2.53% interest on savings account. The account must have a opening deposit minimum of $50k. I have never heard of it before, so hesitating a bit. Marcus, citi and capital one all have good rates but under 2.3%, but they are well reputed and will have probably better online banking experience.
Put it in a 5 year CD ladder and you’ll have access to 20% of your cash annually, penalty free. There are 5 year CDs over 3%. https://clark.com/personal-finance-credit/maximize-higher-interest-rates-long-term-cds/
This is a neat idea :) but too much hassle to maintain all the accounts, keep track and avoid auto renewals. On the other hand if savings account gives me 2.5% and i can withdraw any moment and can also invest in someplace else if interest rate hikes in future.
Ally 12 months CD 2.75%
Marcus from Goldman Sachs
This one seems not bad, but lower interest rate. Showing 2.25% in bankrate.com
