Moved to Portland recently , started to hate this weather already !!!!! Anyone also felt the same ? Had to opt out Bay Area offer due to housing reaching the sky! Repenting now , will Salesforce increase the base if we work remotely ?!?! Portlanders how’s the year long experience here ?
I have lived in all three places, Portland, Miami and Bay area as well as New York. Personally, I would never live again in Portland and New York again solely due to the weather. Florida and Bay area are both good, I'd say I am developing a slight preference for Bay area weather over Florida now.
Care to share pros/cons of Florida over Bay?
PNW weather rocks! You just gotta go out and embrace it.
The weather here is fine. It’s the city that is covered in trash and elected officials that couldn’t be bothered to do their job.
What were you thinking - would be sunny in December just because you moved?
November and December both were gloomy, lived in many states in east , this is kinda new without Sun for many days in cycle
See the greenery around? Wouldn’t have been possible if it was 70 and sunny all year.
Lived in PDX for 15+ years and now SEA for 3+ years. Wouldn't change it... Like most things...Depends what you like...
Dont worry, 6 more months and it will be over for 3 months
Haha
I lived there a decade and peaced out. I hate PNW weather.
Hopefully more of you Californians develop the same opinion so you can leave and the house prices can go back down and I can afford a decent house in the city I grew up in
Not to mention the traffic is abysmal compared to how it was in the early 2000s. Fuck off californians
I’d suggest some anger management classes for you - or perhaps the weather finally got to you
This is classic PNW weather. Where did you move from? It takes some years to get used to this weather. Having lived in Seattle for years, I can't imagine living in bay area or Florida now.
Moved from New Jersey , we atleast have some Sun there , it’s always gloomy here !!!
OP you really should have done some research. You won't expect to see the sun again for four or five months.
