Intel does.
Op, not sure I understand the Q. Your company email perhaps always will be based on your legal name. But you can change what to display in active directory. But that, in my opinion causes a bit more confusion. From personal experience, I spent 15-20 mins once trying to locate a Harryalking down aisles looking at name tags, eventually locating him to find his polish name on the office door, which is nothing close to Harry. I realize your problem though, just that I don't know if there is a good solution to it.
Nope. Symatec uses preferred name for email if you set one at the time of joining.
Interesting, so you are saying your email will become preferredfistname_preferredlastname@syman...
You can choose whatever name you want, whatever title you want, whatever alias you want, whatever display pic you want at Google. Here are some real examples of usernames - donaldtrump pikachu jeffbezos thanos batman qwerty And some real titles - Appeaser of storm gods El duderino Pokemon master Grumpy cat
It is great to know. But I meant on Outlook.
You can choose your preferred name too. That’s what appears everywhere (mail, calendar etc etc) People with names that are hard to pronounce go by simple preferred names. Or funky ones.
Google and to a lesser extent Facebook are good at differentiating between legal and preferred name. Forms specify legal name when that's required (e.g. taxes and plane tickets), and otherwise let you use preferred name everywhere.

Nobody gives a shit what you want to be called. What am I missing here?
True, Nobody else does. I come from Asia and my first name is difficult to pronounce. People make mess out of it. So I generally use preferred name at clg and at work.
If people don't try to learn how to say your name properly, they don't deserve your respect.
