Hello everyone lost my job 5 months ago due to Covid-19 ever since then I have been actively applying and Interviewing but I'm unable to crack the interviews be it my hard luck or knowledge on frameworks, cloud infra(i.e spark etc) I'm comfortable in intermediate python & Sql practicing sql in leetcode,57 sql problems .Doing udacity DE nano degree atm to brush up my basics n planning to read EPI python. Can you guys please share some data modeling tips , prep material for cracking the DE Interview Thanks for your time
I would also suggest reading blogs about data engineering to learn more about various data engineer tools like Spark, Kafka, techniques, and designs. Udacity is ok for a very intro level foray. But to go deeper, doing what you’re already doing is great. Plus, it would likely benefit you to try some tutorials and/or projects that use a “full stack” for data eng—Ex: ETL Pipeline with WMS (like airflow) and visualization.
Could also consider Insight Data Engineering fellowship. Based on your proficiency, I think you’d hve a good shot at getting in. They help u bone up on data eng techniques, frameworks, and thinking—and assist greatly in jobhunt/interview prep. It’s free but competitive to get in. 7 weeks

I woke up worried thinking I was late to our 9am standup, it was just 745 and it was a Saturday
Forget nano degree and epi. How long do you take to solve a new medium leetcode question? Nobody asks python basics. While knowledge on frameworks is important, no way you will get an offer if you can't clear coding rounds. Do a lot of easy level questions till you feel comfortable with solving a new easy level question in 15-20 mins before jumping to medium and hard. Working code within 15-20 mins for new easy and 35-40 mins for a new medium qns are my measures to gauge my prep level over LC count
Thanks for the suggestion @pqlam I take around 30-45 for solving new easy lc problem & haven't solved single med lc problem yet will be spending more time on leetcode from now
Becoming very quick at easys might make mediums relatively easier. Rather than a few easys and few mediums because you will end up looking the solutions if you can't solve it. Ymmv
