I’m seeing a lot of posts and comments lately mentioning “prestige”. Is that a new term that people have just learned in the past few months or was it always like this? Which company has more prestige? Which role? Which restaurant. Also feels like this is coming from some other - non western - culture. wtf is going on? TC 200k
Rajesh really, really cares about prestige. It's a very big deal in their culture. He uses it to flex on one another, find spouses, impress their parents, etc.
Is a Rajesh thing. They find prestige in poop too
It's referencing the movie
Humans will always try to find ways to feel better than others. Especially in individualistic cultures. I'm assuming it's coming from people whose kids are applying to colleges (prestige in colleges is a huge thing). Or people who came out of college trying to find ways to be better than others. It's definitely not indian specific
The prestige is a great movie!

Insecure people that care too much about what other people think of them.
Anyone who’s seen Rick and Morty knows you definitely don’t want to Prestige yourself.
