Got an offer for the Principal Engineer role from WD. Base: $150k RSU: $60k Sign on: $40k No relocation. Is this reasonable? They said they can’t provide any relocation assistance due to the market conditions and this is their final offer. YOE: 8y #westerndigital #semiconductor
Is it HCOL? Seems pretty low for the title..
What’s up with the username bro
Is this india or us seems pretty low for us
Western Digital pays in $ in India?
I thought op is converting inr to usd !! Because that’s pretty low for principal
This is low for the principal position, base can go up to 160k-170k. If you need to moved to Bay Area, not worth it.
Principals engineer in WD is list staff or senior staff in other orgs
It could be Rochester, MN. I don’t know how COL compares there though.
This is my Qcom salary as a senior eng. 6yr experience
Location? Too low for principle title
WD PhD new grad is staff if I remember right
if this is in Irvine, that’s pretty standard, I got offer from maxlinear and nxp for similar number, Broadcom offer is far more attractive if base in Irvine, 20%+, By the way I am 9yoe
Base seems a little low
Is WD paying so much now? For which division? I know some friends working there, say principal engineer base 120-155k only. 150k for 8 yoe is very high. Many folks there with 8 yoe only get paid with 120 -135 k base.
Location? This doesn't look good for anywhere in USA..
