Principal Engineer Entertaining AWS Senior TAM Role

In the Denver Metro area. Currently employed as a Principal Engineer I @ 125k (including 10% annual bonus). I'm actually well below the midpoint for my position, however, I moved from a far crappier job market to Denver during Charter's recent acquisition of Time Warner and Bright House. I've spoken with management about moving closer to the midpoint for a PE1 ($146k), but HR apparently holds the keys. Anyway, looking to pursue other options and was contacted regarding a Senior TAM role with AWS. The question came up regarding salary and I told her I'd prefer to do some research before answering. She did state that their offer would entail base salary, a two-year signing bonus and RSU. Interested in others who have accepted the same or similar roles either with AWS or their competitors. Thanks in advance.

As a general rule, never disclose your previous salary (in CA it is actually illegal to ask), and if you really need to there should be no shame to bullshit about your previous compensation

Good to know. Thanks for the feedback!

Your leadership can get you an increase (aka equity adjustment) to get you closer to the mid. You should really be working toward PE2 w/ 20% bonus and additonal retention bonuses though.
