Principal software engineer salary in UAE, pay cut while switching role
Hi, I am currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at a company at UAE, I am not very happy with my current role and looking for a move within UAE, my compensation is around 105K AED(28K $) per month, my colleagues and friends told me that I am paid currently out of the band compared to usual salary for the equivalent role and might have to take pay cut while switching company. I checked companies like Amazon, Careem, Noon, Talabat etc for relevant openings and found Amazon has Senior software engineering role and other have principal / staff engineering roles. I wanted to check with employees working in those companies how much pay cut shall I expect when I make the move? I know Amazon do pay similar salary in US even for Senior software engineering role not sure if they match in UAE. #engineering #uae #amazon #principal

I hope you find something good. I was looking to move to the UAE from the US but all the salary ranges I was given were way too low. Congrats to you for finding that TC. I hope there are other companies there than can match or beat it.

You are making $28K a month. If you need to make more than that, then you need to bring more value than being just an engineer
