Is this still a thing in Redmond? or is everything being converted to open office?
It’s less common nowadays but most people share an office with an office mate. The more senior people typically still have offices. It also depends on how full the building is. This is at least for all the buildings I’ve been in. I’m sure there are some open office space teams but I’ve never seen them. So tired of amazon open spaces and lame cubicles. Frugal af. And distracting af.
How about high density? lol We have 4 people with desks all attached to each other, yeah it’s getting out of control.
Many people still have their own offices. Especially in Office.
Almost all renovated buildings have open spaces. Only older ones still have offices. I personally sit in a room with 40+ people in it, my desk is connected to 3 more desks >:-E
City center Bellevue still mostly private offices.
Advanta, Sammamish, Studios West, Lincoln Square, City Center, Braverns, lots of buildings still have offices.
OpenOffice is Apache, not Microsoft.
The Microsoft Office org refused flat out to go open space. Hence they still have offices.
It's getting rarer by the day, but some buildings still have them.
