Pros and cons of each career path? Yes I know Product DS pays less but you can still make a Blind-compliant TC at big names like Meta.
I did not know data field has started to standardize their titles.
I've seen some full stack DS in LinkedIn, but thought they just like the title better!
I really don't respect any place that has a title called "full stack data scientist." There is no industry wide naming convention that uses this term. It just makes the hiring company look both naive and cheap - wanting someone who can do everything really well while also not knowing what they really need. Source: data scientist w/ 9 yoe
Can you please give your thoughts on the different sub tracks within DS?
If you’re a full stack DS you should just be an engineer lol like what’s that even mean
Might as well just be a Machine Learning Engineer
What's full stack data scientist?
It’s like a real one with some degree of data engineering. Can be just called data scientist
Any skill set that distinguishes the two?
