I am getting an offer from Akamai for a Product Manager. 165k base 15% bonus 35k RSU over 4 years and 8k starting bonus. How does it look? This is a remote position and I'm based out of Seattle #product #productmanager #akamaitechnologies #akamai
Too less RSU and Akamai is known for it
May I DM you if that's okay?
Sure
That seems really low. What’s your current TC at Amazon?
Yoe?
3 years of SDE experience. This is the first PM role I am transitioning into.
Congrats!
Seems low for west coast but on east coast would be good. Most PMs with 3yoe at mediocre tech companie here would be 100-120k
Don't go from SDE to PM..
Reason?
Techies will always be in demand and paid as compared to PMs and TC wil same YOE will be more than PM. You should change the career path only if you think you are not good in your current role or not enjoying it.
🥜
You mind sharing what the interview process was? I can DM you if necessary
What are the benefits? If the company contributes 17% into a 401k and pays your healthcare then yeah it’s a good offer
Which company does that? 17% is so high
Yeah, the most I've ever seen is 10%
Every company is low balling Reddit has downleveled virtually everyone because they can (people on viasas can’t be picky in this environment) Tbh I think everyone is screwed on negotiating power unless you’re a god
I'd say that's on the low end, but could be in range based on your location.
It's a remote role and I am based out of Seattle.
Agree with everyone else. For that area that's very low.
