Have used scissor switch Macbook keyboard and like it. Want a keyboard with low actuation force(45 to 50). Like the tactile bump on the scissor switch keyboard but have never typed on linear switches so don't know how that feels. Keyboard should be low profile(in terms of height, I'm fine with a full keyboard though), not necessarily magic keyboard low profile but at least not very big like some of the mechanical keyboards. Feeling like getting a mechanical keyboard. Preferably wireless. Also, backlight is a must have. I won't be able to go a store and try the keyboards out because they aren't available in my country. I'll be importing them directly.
Keychron has wireless mechanical keyboards. You can pair them with multiple machines at the same time
Just don't get a loud, clacky one like people seem to like these days. You will drive your open office mates insane.
Drop Ctrl or the like have a great feel for them.
I got the ergodox ez and I love it. My hands were occasionally get sore too and that went away within a week of getting the keyboard. I also got used to it within like two or three weeks.
Is it weird relearning how to type?
Not really. I got back to my same level in like 2 or 3 weeks. There's a ton of customizability options which are really nice too. The lack of any strain on my hands though is wonderful. Also we probably should have switched to this style after giving up the typewriter anyway lol.
Keychron, Bluetooth/ wired dual mode. Mac / windows layout switch, pair up to 3 devices. RGB. Lots of customization options.
Kinesis Advantage 2 or bust.
