Blind tax YOE: 5 Tc:~150k I’m a flight software engineer (mainly work on low resource embedded systems ) LM Space and I am borderline harassed by Amazon recruiters for project kuiper on LinkedIn. I was wondering if anyone here works on that effort and if they have thoughts. Also general thoughts on big tech in the aerospace field are welcome. I like the impact I have (like gadgets floating around in space) but I’d like to be paid more.
I was interested in this but unsure if it's only in the Arlington area. Don't want to move there
Not familiar with Kuiper, but I'd expect higher comp and higher stress but possibly much bigger impact than what you're on now. It may be valuable as an accelerator even if the long term go is to be in legacy aviation (Boeing/Lockheed etc)
Nice org with huge focus and area of ongoing investment If you wanna grow non-linearly then this is one of the org which can provide you that.
😂.
Non linear as in faster than the standard pace? Or what do you mean exactly.
Come here instead
Has work life balance improved from the early days? Do you work on the payload side?
Very much depends on group, I doubt you'll get as good as at Lockheed but can't be much worse than kuiper.
Who knows but u can double ur pay
Kuiper software is headless chooks running around the Sesame Street
Is it total chaos there?
Chaos is putting it mildly. It’s insane asylum. TPMs and highly incompetent and non tech managers infighting.

Anyone else have a bloated belly until a huge fart deflates the belly back to normal?
I don’t know how the team is but the project seems really interesting
