Seattle or Bay Area if I do go for Google in another year from now (when I have almost 2 years). I want to buy a condo here, Seattle is cheaper. Condo payment for new construction if below $2000 including HOA and taxes is a good deal ? Currently SDE I new grad 154k TC after raise, 10 months of experience. Let’s say I’m on track for promo Q4 2019. I’m thinking I’ll try to interview for Google Facebook And other companies before then. It’ll be a long shot tho I feel I’ll have my best chance doing virtual interviews. Is it even worth the hassle how much more money will I get? I won’t be able to get a L4 at google since I’ll only have 1.5 years of experience
Don't worry about levels. TC is all that matters. Google L4 is way different than Amazon SDE2. You'll fail miserably if you get hired at L4 with 2 yoe. Too much output is expected from Google L4.

Get at least 1.5-2 yoe then try for L4. Use this time to prepare both leetcode and verbal interview questions. Try to get some ownership of a small project or small part of a project so that you can call it your own. It's prerequisite for L4.
Ownership of project at Amazon and 2y experience is prerequisite for L4 at Google?
Just a rule of thumb for the bare minimum in the difference between L3 and L4.
