Current TC: 181 Just curious how promotions work especially if you are moving from a non-senior band to a Senior role. For example, L62->L63 internal promotion. How is comp affected if you are still within your first 4 years, and are middle of the road in the L62 salary band? Do they at least bring you up to the bottom of the L63/64 band? Or is it just a small percent base raise and a different bonus target %? Thanks for any insight, not sure if there's room to negotiate/discuss comp after you are already internal. #microsoft #promotion #salary
Expect 4-10% change in your base depending on compa. Other than that rewards will change once you move bands. That said even till 64 you are still ~250k in a good year.
