Is it just me or are promotions here super inflated? I've seen people go from lvl 1 to staff in 3 years...after a while title's start to lose its meaning, when you know someone barely got out of college and is a "Senior Engineer"...thoughts?
What I noticed is those people are the ones who work 24/7 a day even on sundays and Saturdays. Then they become critical to the company and keep getting promoted.
Tbh this makes me want to work there
I know of interns with 1 internship experience that are hired in as engineer and not even lvl 1
It's definitely inconsistent across orgs...
Which org is it ?
I agree. AP seems to not have flipped there yet, don’t know about other orgs.
It is true. Look at all the people in banking who are VP (and even Director) with very little experience. Titles are cheap and companies use it as a retention tool.
