Do you have a problem if your company provides a loan or financial assistance to an organization that you disagree with? Where would you draw the line? I mean it’s not okay to fund private prisons, but is it okay to fund someone else’s religious organization? As long as activities of the business aren’t illegal shouldn’t they be allowed to take out a loan? Just food for thought. Methinks this will backfire big time!
Disagreement doesn't make something unethical.
Who’s ethics?
I just don't care
Loans at fractional reserve are also unethical. Taking bailout money to pay out bonuses is also...
Islamic banking. Problem solved.
Funding a religious organization with innocent intentions is one thing, but as other posters have said, you have to accept responsibility for enabling something reprehensible.
What if the history if that religion proves to not have been innocent before... like almost any religion ever?
If you actually care about the living conditions inside of prisons you’d think twice about cutting their funding off.
you mean like floating money to the nazis sort of a thing? 🤪
