I go to a top target school, and I’m an EE major. I’m easily getting interviews with Big Ns. I don’t really enjoy coding and I’m not too good at it. Should I continue grinding Leetcode?
If you know you don’t like coding, why would you take your career in a direction that requires you to code?
I’m a Junior and studying EE. I’ve just been applying to both SWE and EE internships
If you want to be a manager in 4 years maybe
Indeed must be shit to work at if 4 year gets you to manager.
Depends on what's the other thing you enjoy. If you really like EE, I would recommend re evaluating your goals. Most computer related EE jobs are going off to Asia. Unless you are Chinese or willing to work in Taiwan/Shenzhen, EE is not a growth area in the US anymore. US will only have niche jobs in companies like Intel, Amd, Apple, Nvidia. If Trump continues his nonsense, a lot of remaining jobs will move to Asia as well. Source: I'm an ee major doing cs now.
Would SWE jobs get sourced to Asia too?
I was also considering embedded
Yes. It is worth the switch. I was an ece major who preferred hardware
