Hi All - Considering applying to a couple consulting roles at PwC at the SM or D level. Would be targetting their EPM/Finance Transformation practice. Anyone have insights on what the outlook of client travel is now and post-pandemic? I'm still seeing travel reqs on the job descriptions at 75-80% which seems very high. Appreciate any insight - thanks! #pwc #travel #consulting
Hard to say. Depends on the type of projects and clients need as I know a lot of clients are still working remotely
I haven’t seen any asks to plan for weekly client travel right now. I also get the sense the firm will modify and reduce the old weekly travel routine, because remote working is emerging as the new norm now.
Client is key. If client wants then yes 4days a week of travel. If client is good with remote then we are remote.
Thank you all - mixed responses as I generally expected. I've done the road warrior life in a prior Big4 life, and now with a couple kids I do not want to go back to that life. I'm good with some travel but not to consisent M-Th. May apply anyway to get a sense from recruiter and potentially the team if I get selected for interview, but either way sounds like being conservative with expectations is the right way about it.
I thought we have now announced that anyone who wants to work remotely can permanently do so? Are client teams not choosing this option? I am in the products team and I have chosen to work remotely for good.
Yeah I read that too but I think that means like, not having to come into the office. On the consulting side that doesn't necessarily mean not going to a client site if they want you there. Just trying to gauge what the potential would be, but it really will be client dependent it seems.

PwC will eventually go back to Mon-Thur travel to client site. Most likely by mid year, some team have already started traveling. Traveling to client site will be required unless a client indicates that they don’t want you onsite
