What's with the Albertsons hype on Blind? Can't tell if it's a Blind meme stock or if people think it has juice.
They are by far the industry leader in self-driving grocery carts and drone delivery... Their tech is years ahead of Amazon, Waymo, etc.
What is Albertsons?
It’s not about the ipo Once from Albertsons there was a bro Shit he did on faang And praise of Albertsons he sang. Everyone fked him with a beam And Albertsons became a meme.
They are famous for poaching top scientists and researchers because they're using quantum computing to sort vegetables and fruits, they're also heavily involved in ML (generation of best before dates, CV-based barcode scanners), automation (most of their production/farming is fully automated, including notoriously labour-intensive products like free-range cereals, gluten-free fish, etc). A while ago, they created a robotic platform to pick blueberries and later sublicensed to Boston Dynamics which is selling it under the "Spot" brand.
I like the free range cereal...I picture some guy raking up the toasted flakes during harvest time
Albertsons is by far the most prestigious company of the modern era. So prestigious, in fact, that very few people even know about them.
It's the only company with 5.0 rating on Blind (like actually check it out)
Sample size of 1 though
Both of the A's in FAANG stand for Albertsons.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even Zlatan couldn't clear Albertsons interview.
Engineers who can’t clear phone screen at Albertsons ends up being a fellow, principal engineer, distinguished engineer, research scientist etc at FAANG
They have a few stealth mode, data science & consumer modeling projects that are really impressive. IMO, they will make Amazon Go look like, a complete joke.
Best jokes are delivered poker face.
Amazon will have to reverse merge into Albertsons to remain relevant
