LAM Research as an Employer

I have several interviews coming up for LAM Research in Oregon for mechanical engineering roles. I am ~8 years into my career and wanted to get thoughts from anyone here who has experience with them. If able to land a position here, is this a good company on the resume for future job prospects? Can anyone give information about the company and culture as well as how they pay in relation to others in the industry? I do not come from a semi background but have always been in industrial products. YOE - 8 TC - 120k #semiconductor

LAM is good and has been doing superbly for some years now. Grew during the pandemic and hasn’t disappointed yet in the recent sell off

Yeah a friend’s sister-in-law worked there years ago.

Lam is overall good for the employees. They took some decent steps (extra days off and bonuses) early in the pandemic. Workload can be high but there are a lot of challenging opportunities to build your experience. Feel free to DM if you have more specific questions.

Lam is good to have on your resume if you dont have other companies such as AMAT or ASML. Good benefits. They have taken steps to improve on values and management tries to drive it. It fails in some groups where individual managers dont drive it. Culture is group dependent. Many groups have aggressive culture - with timelines and the work expected. The work life balance isn't good with tight deadlines as in most semi companies. Pay is comparable to the competition.
