I can’t even look at myself in the mirror. Both questions are variations of questions on the leetcode, meta tag, top 100 questions in the last six months. Solved one question, completely bomb the other one. I am devastated. TC 0
Metas interviews are the epitome of all that’s bad with tech interviewing right now. 5 rounds, need to get every question perfect, even if you do the interviewer simply might not like you, recruiters act like their shit smells like flowers and don’t provide any feedback why you got rejected. And if you manage to pass and get on a team you realize that half your peers are just shitters who only knew leetcode
* Will get PIP’d in 6 months.
I failed my Amazon screen a few years ago.
Fail everything a few times at least, don’t let that be your defining moment
The path to success is filled with failures. Learn from your mistakes, keep going, and crush the next one. You got this - no one is perfect all the time.
At least you got through the initial screening while I’m unable to even get past the resume screening 😣
Git gud at leetcode
I cleared Amazon last year but could not clear phone screen this year because interviewer asked LLD to be done in 20 minutes and I prepared DSA. Expectations were not clear and he refused to clarify if he is looking for LLD or just coding. I did not even care after the interview because people literally get the easiest questions in Amazon phone screen. Shitty luck that day.
Where are you located? Look for more local positions. Just keep looking. For meta, you have to be very fluent on leetcode and you can even recite all solutions.
It's no big deal. Everyone has an off day or just get stuck in the moment. I find the Meta interview format especially atrocious with two questions back to back. No depth, no interesting discussion just go go go.
Keep your head up. Good things will come
