I have done my Masters in Microelectronics and did my internship in Qualcomm for one year (STA) due to recession and all I got full-time in another team. Ya, the team is good, but it assigned me to Infrastructure Engineer. My skillset are in RTL, Verification, and PD since I did my Masters and internship in this stuff. Now suddenly into Infrastructure Engineer(working from Bangalore for SanDieago team). I want to know career path pros and cons like this does not involve much hardware (this is my interest). Any suggestions like this conflict in my area of interest ? #hardware #semiconductor #interview
Consider moving out from QC as the other domains would likely make you execution only Engineer. Try nvidia for better comp , WLB and top line inhouse technology. This would help you to advance ahead by years from your fellow peers without cribbing every year about how many hrs you slogged.
Continue the job for now but keep looking outside. Maybe check what Qualcomm's policy is for internal transfers
