Hi Guys, I've got two open offers, one at Qualcomm and one at Intel. Intel one is 30k TC lower, so didn't bother posting. What do you think I should negotiate at for the Qualcomm offer. ASIC design engineer position. 7 YOE, PhD, +other work experience Qualcomm (San Diego): Sr. Staff Base: 175k Stock: 40k/yr What sign-on would be appropriate to request? Also, how do RSU refreshers work at Qualcomm, and what is typical value at Sr. Staff level per year. Thanks #qualcomm #hardware
$120k stock grant is decent, you might ask for higher stock. Base is decent. Also, you can ask for joining bonus, they might give around 40k. Refresher at senior Staff for meeting expectations is around 80k and 25k+ bonus (depending on companies performance too) last 3 years they are giving us in the 25k ball park.
How do refreshers work? Do you start getting refreshers once the initial 3 year period is over? And 80k is for the next 3 years?
1/3 will vest after a year. After a year 1/6 will vest every 6 months.
