Qualtrics acquisition...should I leave?

I have been at Qualtrics for over 7 years and started as one of the early sales employees. I have been given amazing opportunities at the company and despite normal frustrations I have loved my time here. Now that we have been acquired by SAP I am considering whether I want to stay. SAP has some cool opportunities and all the people have been great. While their tech can be lame I feel like Qualtrics has some amazing opportunities in the future because of the scale SAP can bring. Now that most of my equity has vested I feel like outside of an amazing place to keep selling and growing, my upside of stock growth is gone. Plus I am not sure if all the changes SAP will request will be fun to watch. I have an offer to move to a 300 person company that is in high growth mode as the VP of Sales. It’s the job that I have always wanted but I am not sure if I should leave when it feels like things in my current role are going so well, my boss is awesome, and I still have stock vesting every quarter for two more years. Should I stay in my current role where I know I will crush it for several years and make great money, or move back to a start up environment where I know I am going to work my butt off for what could be a hopeful future stock payout. Leaning towards staying...Thoughts?

What’s your true motivation? What brings you the most happiness? Be honest with yourself and the decision should be clear.

What’s your current TC and the offer’s TC? Depends a lot on that. All things being equal it might be better to get some new experiences at a new company.

My current comp is $330k and $280k in stock that vests like a cash bonus over the next two years (vests quarterly). The offer is for $350k and stock options for a growing tech company. Not sure how to evaluate those in the offer.

First off, that's an insane amount of money to be making in Utah. Glad to see an early employee doing so well... Think it comes down to the type of work life balance you want going forward. If you're career focused, I'd bail for the dream job. If you want to rest and vest and spend more time with family, then stay at Q but take it down a notch.

I think that is why the decision is hard. I have very few complaints but also think this new job could be a good change of pace. Can’t decide.

Do you want to rest and vest, or get the bag? That's what it comes down to. Personally I would go. You will always have the Q growth on your resume. I would start building something else

I thought you are in sales. SAP sell multimillion dollar software. You'll get so many new products to sell.
