Base and bonus around the same, but Qualtircs offers much more stocks than ServiceNow, 30k higher. Both in Seattle office. SDE role. I’m leaning toward Qualtrics because of higher TC, but in the meanwhile I’m worried of Qualtrics stock value growth. ServiceNow stock is much more solid to me. Pros about NOW: stock growth, pre-sap CEO, solid product Cons: cross country collaboration, early/late calls, low TC Pros about XM: higher TC, wlb Cons: lots of new grad, code quality, stock growth What do you guys think? Appreciate any suggestion and advice!#engineering #software #swe
Not sure where you got that info on Qualtrics. Maybe it was true 3-4 years ago, right now it is much different. There are tons of industry hires at all levels. Code is not perfect almost everywhere (exception maybe Google).
Got that info from Blind reviews, but good to hear now things are different! I myself is still in my early career so would like to get mentored.
TC or GTFO
What level at Now? Cause that matters to determine your meeting load. Cons of Now are a little weak if you ask me. Cross country collaboration is very unlikely an issue unless your other team is in India (which is possible but not very likely) and if it is the case, no one ever forces you to attend those calls and from personal experience I can tell you that is 50-50 where the other team attends calls at odd hours as well. The 30k is significant so I'd suggest you look at the stock growth and mashed a decision. Another option is to try to negotiate with the now recruiter. For Q - Don't fret about code quality. Now isn't out of the universe either. Everyone has gaps. It's how you try to fix them, which is important. If there are a lot of new grads, so what? They can be the smartest people you work with or mentor.
Thanks for your comments! L2 at NOW. There’s other team in both India and Australia. Q just got IPO so kinda hard to tell. I guess NOW is offering me the best they can do for L2, that’s after negotiation.
Go with ServiceNow! Still a lot of growth potentials to come!
Agreed, but 30k is a lot
