Quick life story: I live in Germany and work at Siemens because it seemed like a good company due to 35h week and decent pay (my first employer was a pure software company that paid 50k). But it is horrible on the tech side, lots of boomers that can't code at all (so many 5000 line files, 1000 line spaghetti functions) So I applied at multiple US Tech companies that have offices in Germany. Google was the only one that responded and I passed the onsite thanks to some LC grinding. I am now stuck in team matching due to hiring freeze. Would a referral help me? How often should I ask my recruiter for updates? Are L3s being hired again? 2 yoe 65k €
How much time you took to prepare for the interview?
1h a day for 3 months, in vain it seems.
It is was for L4 or L5 role ?
Where did you find job? Were you contacted or applied?
I applied on some open positions on their career site, then was contacted by recruiter
I'm in a similair situation. I matched with a team in Zurich this summer, but went back to team matching as they had their head count revoked. Please keep us posted if anything changes for you. What's your division at Siemens? You don't have to spend your time with boomers and horrible tech. You could try changing teams until you're matched.
I will, good luck to you. How should I go about changing teams until I get into a better company?
Really hard, I am L4 for Switzerland stuck for 5 months, Google EMEA simply gets filled immediately with internal transfers.
Germany here, stuck in team matching as well

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
Nope, they mentioned they will be no hiring in Germany in the 2023: so you will have to likely reinterview. And they are mostly only interested in senior engineers l5+: try another country
2023?
Yes for 2023
