Question for MSFT recruiters and SWEs
What does it take to land an internship interview at MSFT? Trying for about 2 years now but no luck. Applied with 2 referrals from FT SWEs and PMs but got nothing. Tried reaching out to recruiters and got no response. Just want a chance to maybe prove myself in an interview. Do I need to get referral from higher ups? Makes me wonder if my resume is not good enough as well. Any tips is greatly appreciated #internship #software #swe #jobs #recruiterbox !
Has nothing to do with resume. They don't care about referrals for interns and new grad either(search LinkedIn, one of the uni recruiters for msft says it). They mostly take those from top schools or from diversity conferences. So try going to color stack, tapia etc if you qualify.
I'm south east Asian so probably don't qualify for those .
