Any FAANG recruiters here on blind? Need to clarify certain doubts. 1. Are you hiring candidates with 1-2 months of OPT left? 2. What options do you give such candidates? Relocate them to offshore (Canada, EU) offices and get them back? 3. Do you accept Day1 CPT work authorization? No trolls please.
I am not a recruiter but I know fb is hiring for London office - requires no authorization and promise to relocate back to menlo park after a year.
You mind sharing further details like the recruiters or HM or team? I can PM you.
No, this might be true last year but this severely hurt London teams because so many people left after a short amount of time. Now they don’t do it automatically, might be case by case exception. They still hire for London office or transfer existing employees with visa issue, but not guarantees moving back to MPK.
I cleared Uber telephonic last month but was told no onsite as its my last chance for h1b lottery. My opt is valid till feb 2019
1. No. Not sure of 2 and 3. Too much going on with immigration. If you can get into other country office, go for it and see about transferring internally to other country if able. There's no guarantee that you will be able to transfer though.
Side q: Max L4 PM offer you have gotten approved?
in same boat, LinkedIn paused my interview process after phones interview as I have less than 6 months left. total count ~10 now. :(
Which option did you end up taking? How did it play out?? Curious as I am in a similar boat, considering option 3 or moving to international office with no guarantee of return.
Amazon already has the best offshore policy right ?
Yes, but it all depends on the manager. My manager isn’t positive about it.
What about VMware? Do you have any relocation policies I such cases?
