What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Want to travel for sometime. Thinking of quitting my job, pack my stuff and leave the US. But I want to return after a few months. I know I’ll have to find a new visa sponsor. Has anyone done so successfully (return back on H1B)? Can you please share your experience on how difficult was it to come back? Current TC: 250K Yoe: 4 #workvisa #h1b #quit
Did in 2021. Travelled for 7 months and came back on H1B again. Not sure if the current market conditions are suitable.
Nice. Did you find a new employer when you were outside of the US?
Yes. Took around 2 months to find a job
I think travel is just overrated
To each their own 😊
Don’t quit. Take LOA citing personal reasons. Come back and start looking for another job or finalize new job before you re-enter
Whoa but the employer can fire me while I’m on LOA right? Also how long can the LOA be?
Yes that’s the risk especially in this market. Check your company policy about LOA. I am sure at least 3/4 months should be allowed.
Want to do the same but Iam on opt
Get your I140 and leave. You can come back any time.
But need to come back to same job title right
Uhh don’t have i140. Never started the process! Plan to work for the remainder of my H1B period and return to my home country once it expires! Was picked in 2021 for the visa.
What did you decide, did you leave? Got a new stamp? In the same state, please help
Yeah I did quit 2 months ago. Traveling right now. Just got another offer 2 weeks ago and it’ll be another 2-3 months until I start work!
Are you out of the country ?
Want to do the same. Following
