My friend will be graduating in 2022 and has 2 offers . Sprinklr ( Front end developer) Tc 30lpa (all base) Microsoft (Full stack , backend heavy) Tc- Approx 24lpa ( including stocks, signon, base) 1. What should he chose keeping career growth, learning opportunities, wlb in mind. 2. He is more inclined for backend roles. 3. We generally hear that sprinklr has bad wlb ,is it advised to go sprinklr for good learning opportunity early in his career by sacrificing wlb. 4. Also would it make a big difference in future TC if he opts for sprinklr ( due to pretty high base). #engineering #software #swe #microsoft #sprinklr #softwareadvice
Just read our reviews, you'll have the answer 🤣
Have read them and yes they vouch for pretty bad wlb. But I have also heard that promotions in sprinklr are very quick and hike is also very significant ,whereas in Microsoft promos are slow and hike is also less. So would you still recommend joining microsoft or should one work at sprinklr for initial 1-2 year and then switch ?
What good is a promo if you’re not actually learning how to do the role you’re promoted into? It bloats your resume and will make moves outside the biz harder. Better to be somewhere you actually learn vs empty titles.
Consider Sprinklr only if you are super workaholic and you only care about money
Microsoft is the clear winner. The brand value will help massively when he switches in the future. It also has better WLB. Learning will depending on the team at Microsoft. The TC difference is too small to make any significant difference in the future. When you switch, the hike is based on the TC and not necessarily base. Other companies would be giving stocks / esops as part of the compensation and will not necessarily hike or even match the existing base (especially if it is high)
