Weird ancestry test results

Not sure what to make of ancestry test results. My family as far as I know is from south of india. Simple telugu farmer stock from villages where electricity started being available just 20 years ago. I took an genetic test as SO and I want to try for kids. The test took me by surprise as it show I have 12% of central asian dna. That is a pretty significant percentage! Not sure what to make out of it. Any telugu folks who had similar strange results?

Isn’t that what history says? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-46616574

Central Asian mix is not a surprise as Aryans were central Asian people, and a lot of present days Indians have ANI mix. however 12% is a surprise. You could retake the test with a different company to check. (Else In the recent past one of your ancestors came from steppe region )

I think I might take another test. I want to eliminate the possibility that one of my great grands is product of violent rape.

Contrary to the popular notion (esp with RW in India) that Aryans invaded (aka violently) there is enough evidence across genetics, archeology, linguistic science to show it was a peaceful migration vs an invasion. Check out YT channel ‘World of Antiquity’. Fun factoid- Apparently researchers say if you go far back into history every human being alive today is a result of violence and incest from many generations ago.

DNA tests are not always accurate. I got a DNA test done, and my % makeup changes year over year as they get more genetic data lol. My brother and I took different DNA test, one from ancestry.com and the other from 23andMe, and we got different racial results because their databases are different.
