I've been wondering if it's legal for companies to be mandating people are back in the office. The employer and employee have an agreement for work in exchange for services. Most contracts from pre COVID are not going to mandate being in the office. If you can deliver on your work, could you sue for wrongful termination if fired / laid off?
Lol
Lol what are you drinking OP?
Most work agreements are “at will”; you can quit, or they can fire you…. The only complexity is navigating legal protections for termination due to discrimination. Unfortunately, people who like working from home is not a protected group.
Can you easily sue if you’re fired as a member of a minority group?
no, it’s not easy if you’re just a minority. youll need to have documented cases on how your minority status specifically led to your termination. the company can fire you for any or no reason legally, so there are lots of alternative reasons they could propose even if discrimination WAS the true cause
WTF. Are you for fucking real?
Checkmate, companies. This guy’s got one weird trick to beat RTO.
Not legal in Netherlands at least, iirc (may be another country that guaranteed right to wfh if job can be done remotely)
Hahahahhaaa. 0/10 for trolling.
Sue your employer and report back
It’s America you can sue for anything you want. It’s usually better to sue for things you can actually win though.
😂
