How good is a TC of 260k (Base - 140) for Pittsburgh for a L4 SWE with 3 YOE. Does it seem like a lowball or a standard offer? Please add comments on what the range should be (Base + Stocks) if you think it's a lowball. Doesn't seem like a top of the band to me. Asking for a friend. Tc: 300k #compensation #google #tech #facebook #tc #salarycomparison #
That’s oil baron money for Pittsburg
For Pitt it’s way too much out of the band.
That seems good, Facebook offered me similar in Columbus, Ohio $300k TC year 1, $240k TC Y2-4 full remote
Yoe ?
E4 position / SDEII, 4 YOE If I waited until 5 YOE I probably could have shot for E5 but it’s w/e
Great money for this CoL.
Are you counting front loaded vesting? What’s the average four year TC.
I have no idea. I'm guessing yes
I’m in Pittsburgh, and while that offer is high for the area, remote companies are still very competitive. I think it’s good based on YOE, which is what I’d look for first. Definitely not top of band though.
I get the same for NYC. So it's top of the band.
top of the band, I got only 250 for Bay area same level
260 averaged out over 4 years in Pittsburg with 3 YOE is top band
I am not aware of the average stock distribution, it most likely is TC for the front loaded year.
If it's front loaded it will then be 235- 240k over 4 years which would be mid band but on the higher end
Seems ToB for Pittsburgh, congrats to "your friend" 😜
