Had an initial call with the recruiter and it seems to have so many bureaucratic steps in the entire process even though they are skipping the phone screen. Virtual onsite Team match Hiring committee Offer! I heard many reviews on blind where people are just stuck at team matching for months even though they cleared all interviews! Hypocrisy of Indians
You missed "Leadership Review" and more team matching. For me, it was: Phone Screen Onsite Hiring Committee Team Match for 5 months Leadership Committee that denied me both at interview level and level - 1
Woah! Never heard about the leadership committee! That sucks man. Total disregard for candidates' time.
Leadership committee denied me as well and removed the headcount.
Everything at Google is way too bureaucratic IMO. That said, the intent of team matching was to match a candidate to a team they're passionate about. You interview the team and not the other way around. With the delays these days, it has become a case of good intention but poor execution. Back when I interviewed a few years ago, it wouldn't take more than a month and I appreciated the opportunity to choose between multiple cool teams instead of just joining for the pReStIgE.
Nowadays, HM interviews you, after that you might get interviewed by upto 2 teammates. Someone also got asked DS Algo problems during teammatch stage. It has gotten very bad, mostly because many people have cleared interviews, very few open roles.
Wow, that sucks
I would never interview there, broken company headed for bankruptcy
Ive been stuck for 2y, reinterviewed and stuck again. Google recruiters are lying pieces of shit. THEY SHOULD STOP INTERVIEWING PEOPLE. There are probably 10 candidates per one role (except in shit locations like India, Brazil or Poland). Why would they continue getting more candidates in.
Has anybody done the GHA? Isn’t this the first step ?
You mean assessment? They usually skip that for 5+ yoe or from a well known company.
Probably the worst of any FAANG, you pass their loop and might get stuck in team matching hell until your result expires
Thanks for the feedback. I don't think it's worth grinding leetcode in that case!
